Prisma Continued

Here we go with the shirt and the rest of the Snowman.
I picked the following colors for the shirts. PC 909 Grass Green, PC911 Olive Green, PC908 Dark Green. Start of with Grass green.

Once again go back with grass green and darken where you think the shadows will be.
Now add olive green to where you think the shadows will be.
Once that is done its time to add the darkest color, which is dark green.
The final step is to blend with the colorless blender
.
I think you can see the difference between the last two photos. The colorless pencil really makes the colors pop.

For the rest of the snowman I used the following:
Snowman Body : PC 1086 Sky blue light.
Snowman Cheeks: PC 928 Blush Pink
Snowman Mouth :PC 1018 Pink Rose
Snowman Tongue: PC 924 Crimson Red
Snowman Nose: PC 918 Orange, PC 921 Vermillon Clair
Football: PC 1082 Chocolate.

Tomorrow I will post from tips  for when you color.

Coloring With Prisma Colored Pencils

I color with Prisma colored pencils, but I rarely do gamsol. So I bet you're asking then how do you color. Well I use my pencils and a colorless pencil? I try to blend colors together. To do this I use  Strathmore 300 series Bristol smooth for my paper. I just stamp right on it and then start coloring.

Here is the paper:

Now Stamp. This is PK-09 Cheesy Packer Fans.

Now test you colors. You want to use a light, medium, and dark color. I will be starting with the cheese hat. I used PC916 Canary Yellow, PC917 Sunburst Yellow,PC1003 Spanish Orange.

Once your colors are set you can start.  Start coloring with you lightest color(Canary). Make sure you color lightly and in  small circles.
After you lightly color you can go back with Canary and darken  the areas you think the shadows will be.

Once you are done with that take your medium color. I used Sunburst.  I left a little of the canary showing.

We are almost done. Next is the Darkest color (Spanish orange). With this color I stayed by the edges and where things touched.
Now for the last steps. You can go back over with the canary to blend or use the  PC colorless blender.
The colorless blender to me blends and makes the colors pop.

I colored the head of the beer with PC914 Cream. I lightly colored it and then went heavy around the edges. The beer is done with PC 915 Lemon,PC 916 Canary, PC 917 Sunburst.
Tomorrow I will Color in the Shirt and the Football. Please Stay Tuned.

Tear Bears!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas. I know I did. It's nice to see my family again. My little cousins complained to me that I'm never around. I know they miss me and I miss them. It's just every time there is an event I'm at work. The people at my job apparently think that I rather have the money. Well they are wrong. Anyways enough of that. Before Christmas I bought some Mulberry paper. I wanted to try out Tear bears. I think they are so cute. I got all my supplies from  http://www.thebearyscrap.com . I only have 3 patterns right now, but I do have some Peachy Keen templates that I need to try out! So here is my first ever tear bear.

This is  paper Panda , which was made using PKS-129(Large Tear Bear Template), and PKS-139( Tear Bear Face Parts)

X-mas card

So every year for the past two years I've been making cards for everyone in my family. This year I decided to ask my 13 year old cousin what she wanted on her x-mas card. Well she requested  that it has to have a horse. This is what I came up with. All cuts are from winter woodland. Horse is 3inches, sleigh is at 2.5 inches, trees are 3, and 2.5 inches. This card is 5x7.

Peachy Keen Challenge Emboss it

So for this challenge I did dry emboss and wet(kinda). For the wet I just took a piece of card stock and applied versa mark and poured my embossing powder onto it. After that was applied I just heated it like normal. I did that a total of three times. On the third time while the embossing powder was still  hot I  applied  versa mark to a stamp and then pressed the stamp into the hot embossing powder. The results are kinda neat.

Peachy Keen Let's Face it Friday Challenge

The Challenge:

Using a lunch sack or a paper grocery bag, create a winter-inspired project. Some ideas can be a set of ornaments (staple two pieces of the lunch sack together), stamp the paper bag & use as wrapping paper, a holiday gift bag (paint both sides of the bag with gesso first if painting it), spray with archival mist to use as an element in a scrapbook page, crinkle and use distress ink to create an aged element, use the brown bag to wrap a frame or pail, or make a craft that a child could help you create (puppets)! The sky's the limit, and the more creative, the better!

This was such a hard one for me.My first idea bombed. I wanted to make snowflakes, but my Cricut decided it wasn't going to cut the paper bag. So I made a card and wrapped it up like a gift. I think it came out cute. The gingerbread girl is a tag the receiver can use.

Christmas card for someone at work

I used all Peachy Keen stamps. I used  Strathmore " Smooth Bristol" for my card stock. I've been experimenting with papers for my prisma colored pencils, so far I like this paper the best. The snowman was colored on this paper also.I know you can't tell in the photo, but the word snow  and the snow flakes has stickles on them.
