CC Blog Monthly Challenge

OCTOBER MONTHLY CHALLENGE: CELEBRATING CREATIVITY
The theme for this month’s challenge is all about celebrating the reasons why you love to create! Please create a scrapbook page or home decor project CELEBRATING CREATIVITY. Project must be newly created for this challenge and should include atleast 2 cuts to qualify. You must also:
  • Use the Shadow Feature
  • Use Patterned Paper (purchased, printed, or created with stamps, etc.)
  • Use Embellishments to Enhance One of the Cuts (pearls, buttons, gems, glitter, etc.)
I wasn't going to do this challenge cause well I don't do home decor or scrapbook layouts, but I found this quote that inspired me.  “The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you’ll discover will be wonderful. What you’ll discover is yourself.” — Alan Alda. So I decided on a home decor piece. I embellished my cuts by inking, hand stitching, embossing with UTEE, and flocking. I tried my hardest to make it a  realistic scene. I wanted it to appear you are walking through the woods. I shadowed the log and the create at the top. Only patterened paper is on the  word create. I think it came out really good. I only wish I could have blended the quote into the sky better, but I can live with it.
